Park Si Hoo has been confirmed as the lead of the film After Love (translated).
In After Love, Park Si Hoo will be acting as a cold and indifferent airline employee and a former pilot named ‘Kim Sung Joon.’
After Love is a romance film about a man who realizes his love for his wife, after she leaves him. It will be directed by director Eo Il Seon, who also directed the film Plastic Tree and Between. Director Eo Il Seon won Main Award from 52nd Mannheim-Heidelberg Award with the film Plastic Tree.
‘Kim Sung Joon,’ played by Park Si Hoo, is a former pilot who becomes part of the ground crew after losing his ability to hear on his right ear and marries a girl named Eun Hong after a blind date, even though he doesn’t love her. He treats Eun Hong as if she is just another piece of furniture and become a workaholic. After Eun Hong’s unexpected death, he realizes Eun Hong’s sincerity for the first time and goes out in search of her first love.
Making his return to the big screen in Korea since Confession of Murder, Park Si Hoo will be taking on his first role in a Korean romance film. Park Si Hoo recently starred in the romance film Scent with Chinese actress Chen Ran, receiving positive feedback for his acting.
The fact that Park Si Hoo will be collaborating with director Eo Il Seon has also been sparking interest. After Love will begin filming in Jeju island in November and premiere in May of 2015.
Hoo Factory, Park Si Hoo’s agency, stated, “Park Si Hoo has been feeling both excited and pressured to be making his comeback to the big screen in Korea after two years and began analyzing his character. We will work hard to show a new side of Park Si Hoo.”
Meanwhile, Park Si Hoo held his official Japan fan meeting on September 28 in Yokohama. He will be meeting the fans in Nagoya on November 5.
